Scene requirements for display screen in planning hall

In the coastal city planning hall, we integrated the venue design with LED displays to create a scene with sea scenery characteristics. With a wide-angle arc screen with a length of 20 meters and a viewing angle of 120 °, the planning Pavilion in coastal cities, together with the ceiling and floor decoration and other sensory equipment, makes people feel like facing the beach, watching the rise and fall of the tide and deduces the magnificence of the sea indoors.

In the mountain city planning hall, the local cultural landscape is integrated to create a scene with mountain style. The Planning Museum of the city next to the mountain connects the ceiling and the ground with a 12-meter-high bent display screen. It arranges the sky, the mountains, the foot of the mountains, and the river valleys in layers, and cooperates with other sensory equipment so that people can feel the scattered mountains and the vertical and horizontal river valleys in the museum.

The display screen is not only used for display, it will be integrated into the design of the planning hall, such as the ground, wall, ceiling, etc. This tests the comprehensive ability of display manufacturers’ products. Design principle of the LED display screen in science and Technology Planning Museum

  • Pixel density design

The distance between pixels on the screen that the human eye can distinguish is usually limited by 0.1mm. Since the distance below 0.1mm exceeds the retinal resolution limit, it can not be distinguished no matter how close it is, and it is regarded as a whole visually. At this time, the corresponding pixel density is about 300 PPI.

The effective viewing distance of the LED display in the Planning Museum is generally 2m-16m. In order to enable the viewer to have the best visual effect, it is necessary to select the display dot spacing according to the equivalent retinal distance. If the average display distance is 9 meters, the LED display with a spacing of P3 can be selected to meet the display requirements in the planned Museum. If the visual distance is 5m, the LED display screen of p1.667 can be selected to meet the display requirements.

  • Mute

The planning hall is located in an enclosed space, which has high requirements for noise control. Traditional LCD and DLP splices are equipped with cooling fans, which generate a buzzing sound while cooling. The LED display does not need a cooling fan to dissipate heat, and the power supply is configured with a fanless silent power supply. The redundant power configuration ensures that the effective load of the power supply is less than 60%, thus ensuring a quiet environment in the Planning Museum.

  • Consistency of super large splicing

Compared with the traditional LCD and DLP splicing, the LED display unit module splicing will not appear with a black border, which can achieve the splicing of an oversized display. At the same time, the LED display can ensure that the brightness and chromaticity between modules are consistent, so as to achieve the best whole screen display effect. In terms of viewing angle, the left, right, and up and down viewing angles of the LED display is as high as 120 °, which can completely cover all corners of the planning hall.

  •  Lightweight design

In indoor places such as the planning hall, the space is quite limited. In order to make more efficient use of space, the lightweight design of the display screen is particularly important. The LED display screen can be installed on the wall, requiring only a thickness space of 100mm. The LED display screen can be installed on any wall, meeting the display screen installation requirements of all places in the Planning Museum.

  • System architecture

It is planned that there will be multiple display screens in the museum. We have designed integrated control for the LED display control center. Only one computer is required to control multiple display screens at the same time. At the same time, the video processor integrated into the system can access various image input signals, and timely and accurately deliver video picture information to the corresponding display screen.
