LED display controller, also known as LED asynchronous control system or LED display control card, is the core component of LED graphic display. It is responsible for receiving the screen display information from the computer serial port, putting it into the frame memory, and generating the serial display data and scan control timing required by the LED display screen according to the partition driving mode.
LED display mainly displays various characters, symbols, and graphics. The screen display information is edited by the computer, pre-placed into the frame memory of the LED display screen through the RS232 / 485 serial port, and then displayed and played one by one in a circle. The display mode is colorful and can work offline. The LED display is widely used in various industries because of its flexible control, convenient operation, high stability, and long service life.
LED display synchronization controller is mainly used for indoor or outdoor full-color large screen display to display video, text, notification, etc. in real-time. The LED display screen synchronization control system controls the working mode of the LED display screen, which is basically the same as the monitor of the computer. It maps the images on the computer monitor in real-time at the update rate of at least 60 frames per second. It usually has the color display ability of multi grayscale, which can achieve the effect of multimedia advertising. Its main features are real-time, rich expression, complex operation, and high price. A set of LED display synchronization control systems is generally composed of a sending card, a receiving card, and a DVI display card.
LED display asynchronous controller is also called LED display offline control system or offline card. It is mainly used to display various characters, symbols, graphics, or animation. The screen display information is edited by the computer, pre-placed into the frame memory of the LED display through the RS232 / 485 serial port, and then displayed and played one by one. The display mode is colorful and varied. Its main features are simple operation, low price, and wide range of use. LED display simple asynchronous control system can only display digital clock, text, and special characters. Support analog clock display, countdown, picture, table, and animation display. It has the functions of timing switch, temperature control, and humidity control.
The sending card displays the content to be displayed on the VGA display according to the specific format and certain playing order required by the LED display screen; On the other hand, the picture displayed on the VGA display is sent to the control board through the acquisition card, which is the interface card between the VGA display card and the LED screen.
The receiving card receives the video signal (control signal and data signal) transmitted from the sending card, separates the data in the video signal through the bit plane, stores it in the external buffer by field, and then read it out by zone and transmits it to the display driving screen.
The display data edited by the computer is stored in the display screen control system in advance, and the normal display of the LED display screen will not be affected after the computer is turned off. Such a control system is an asynchronous control system card.
